Panel description: In real life, death is often harsh, accompanied by pain, fear, loneliness, and loss. Why, then, does fantasy often portray death as noble and somehow beautiful? Is it merely to make fictional worlds more entertaining? What are some recent stories in which death is painted realistically, and how do those deaths impact the story?
